    fire burning on the dancefloor

so shagged. ran an adventure trail last night! w merv n crystal. was a really scenic route. and proud that we actually finished it. but was SO tired after that that i totally just burned out on the dance floor at union. to start off with i am still a beginner, and with the fatigue and lack of skills, totally just screwed up my follows. )))): was literally missing beats and steps and all. NOT COOL. need to keep watching videos and learn. i will be good someday. SOMEDAY.

had been busy with the 4th Russia Singapore Business Forum. it was really a great experience, meeting so many people from all walks of life (as mentioned in prev post). my VIP was really the best i can ever ask for. he can be said to be the epitome of a true gentleman. had 2 toasts of vodka with him. once at the opening party, once before he left for the airport. (: well i really hope to keep in touch with him, and probably conduct a campus tour for him when he comes back to singapore. anyhow, i thought the whole forum was a huge success and credit really goes out to ambassador michael tay and his team of dedicated workers who slogged day and night to make it possible. the forum itself on the last day however, was a little too focused on the financial industry and i thought it could be better with more diversifications in topics of discussion. my VIP gave a really personal account of his experience in doing business in Russia and i found it more insightful and relevant than to be speaking about technicals and financial jargons that some may not understand. and it was a pity cos his panel was right before the MM speech and the hall was literally emptying out since everyone was out grabbing their caffeine fix so that they can be alert for the great MM's session. i was kind of appalled as the sessions were cut short so that everyone can be 'in place' to welcome MM for his speech. however, there was a delay of like almost 30 mins before MM arrived. this 30 mins could have been expended for more q&a. OWELL.

so the closing party was at capella, sentosa. my VIP had to pack as he was leaving that night, and so he asked to leave Shangri-La at 8.15pm. i had like 1.5 hrs. hung around w gina for awhile, then at the lobby before deciding to rush home to change out before heading back to Shangri-La to meet him. got down to capella at about 9ish and i was famished. the food there was really good thank goodness. and the environment was really conducive for networking and mingling among the guests. i got to meet quite a lot of executives that night. also felt a tad sad that this whole forum was coming to an end because i really enjoyed it very much. albeit the standing around, waiting, and on-duty mad rush that came with it. i also learnt about business matching and how that is being facilitated. it will be my pleasure if i can be of service in the forum next year. (:
